The Penn-Ohio United TAP Pool League is a subsidiary of Pool's Amateur Tour (TAP) and gives home to over 200 teams throughout western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio. It encompasses all divisions of the Allegheny/Clarion Valley TAP, Glass City TAP, Mahoning Valley TAP, and Route 19 TAP leagues which feature 8-ball, 9-ball, and 10-ball amateur team billiard games as well as scotch doubles (an alternating-shot partners affair).
The league owner/operator is George W. Natili (pictured) of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, having presided over competition since its inception in November of 2009 (Mercer County, Pennsylvania). In the time since, it has branched out into several other counties in Pennsylvania and Ohio, including the original of Mercer, followed by Butler, Erie, Crawford, Venango, Warren, Armstrong, Jefferson, and Clarion (Pennsylvania) and Ashtabula, Trumbull, Mahoning, Lucas, and Columbiana (Ohio).
The handicapped format, which puts "fair" at the heart of its model, allows teams of all skill levels to come together and participate in a fun, yet competitive, night out for all involved. An array of divisions and choice of desired games offer play opportunities on most every day of the week (and more divisions and teams are being added each new session). Sessions span the entire calendar year and are broken into two eighteen-week sessions (fall and spring) and one twelve-week session (summer), each spaced with a two-week break that allows for the scheduling of playoff series and other associated tournaments that your participation can make you eligible for (individual or team).
Scoring is easy and state-of-the-art, electronic stat-keeping allows you to grow and follow your progress as both an individual and in terms of your team. Openings are available frequently and an array of division representatives in your locale can help you to get started.
Our website is also a social network of its own where Penn-Ohio United TAP players can stay in touch and share very easily. Navigate to the "Social" link in the main menu to enroll. Should you have any difficulty navigating on the site, registering for social content and sharing, or find yourself with another technical question, you can speak with our league's webmaster, Shawn Lesky (TAP participant and owner of Lesky Web Design).
